2016 Sangiacomo Vineyard Chardonnay
Single-Vineyard Chardonnay Sourced from Famed Sonoma County Vines, Barrel Fermented
Our second vintage of Chardonnay specially chosen as an elevated offering for our Posse Wine Club. Luxurious and honey gold in color, aromas include toasty brioche and fresh kiwi when its fully chilled; more of a carmelized Pink Lady apple when closer to room temp. This is a rich and creamy Chardonnay with a robust mouthfeel and well balanced. Finish leaves behind light oak toast. Pairs excellently with crab, shellfish, Boursin cheese, creamy bechamel sauces, and is remarkable drinking on its own.
Aged 12 months "sur lees" in 75% new French oak/Francois Freres Burgundy-shaped barrels, the wine was stirred every 10 days. Only 92 cases produced. This is a single-vineyard Chardonnay sourced from the cooler climes of the Sonoma plateau, the Sangiacomo Vineyards.
