2006 Syrah, Los Carneros

Southern Rhone style Syrah with so much complexity even Robert Parker might not know how to describe this one.  Notes of black tea leaves, dry mint, white pepper, crème de cassis, and tobacco fill your nose with delight.  The taste is extremely firm, due to dry tannins, with a sharp, memorable finish.
