2007 Syrah, Los Carneros
Winemaker Notes:
The grapes are grown by the Layland family in Los Carneros, the southern most part of the Napa Valley. The wine is made in a Southern Rhone style and is super food-friendly.
Food Pairing ideas:
Very versatile! From casual foods (even sandwiches) to pastas (both white and red sauces) and meat dishes. Yum, I’m picturing a nice juicy pork chop with mashed potatoes as we speak...
Reviews:
“The peppery, meaty 2007 Syrah is a fruity, elegant, mid-weight attractive effort to consume over the next 4-5 years.”
-Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, Dec 2009
