Nils's popular Cabernet Sauvignon blend, sourced from Oakville. Named in honor of our best winery pooch, Chloe, who happily greets our guests. Great to drink now - 2023.
Our flagship wine, this vintage features a fruit-forward nose, a bold structure and a dense, full body. Lots to excite the palate here. Very typical of the 2013 vintage from Napa Valley, this wine is settling into its "drink now" phase, and will be quite palatable for years to come.
Rich and robust, this 100% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon shows all the hallmarks of the 2013 valley vintage. Brilliant scarlet in the glass, and vibrant to the nose. Aromas of dark black cherry and a hint of anise are followed by bright, velvety flavors of clove, cassis and blackberry. 70 cases made.
Our cool-climate Syrah is back! Just as fans will remember, our Syrah hails from the south end of Napa, the bay-adjacent Carneros region, providing a unique and appealing layer to the typically rich, dense Syrah varietal.
This bold and robust red wine features three heavyweight varietals: Tannat, Teroldego, Temperanillo, in a brilliant blend that announces to the world Nils is still kickin' dirt, and coming out on top!
Rare Napa Valley-grown Sangiovese that rises to any occasion. This medium-bodied stunner is a local favorite, growing right around the corner from Saddleback's Oakville estate on Money Road -- just turn the corner to Penny Lane and a little bit of heaven.
Now Released!! "Douce noir," or "sweet black" is the Italian name for this varietal and that moniker is quite apt! A gorgeous sanguine in color, this cult classic is quite masculine in its body, with an abundance of anise and black cherry in its broad palate. Sourced from the warmer Napa Valley climes of Calistoga, Charbono is nicely paired with charred meats, which stands to reason why Argentinians are the other notable country to grow it.
A dark purple in the glass with aromas of black tea and ripe currant. On the palate, bright and juicy, evoking the bursts of flavor found in peak-season cherries. Balanced tannins and a medium body lead to a cool, silky, long finish. This is an immensely approachable and food-friendly red wine. Pair with steaks, lamb, herb-crusted roasts and roasted vegetables.
Deep garnet color and aromas of black cherries, peppery spice rack, and cigar box lead to flavors of ripe berries are layered over rich velvety tannins producing a layered mouthfeel. Gold Medal, 2017 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition.
